Disclaimer and Risk Warning

Last updated: 6 Aug 2026

The short version: everything on CryptoForexer.com is educational. None of it is investment advice, none of it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything, and none of it accounts for your personal circumstances. Trading currencies and crypto assets carries a high risk of losing money. Most people who try it lose. Read the rest of this page before you rely on anything published here.

Educational purpose only

This website publishes general educational material about trading psychology, risk management, probability and market mechanics. It is written for a general audience and takes no account of any individual reader’s financial situation, objectives, experience, risk tolerance or needs.

Nothing published here constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, legal advice, tax advice, or a personal recommendation of any kind. No content should be interpreted as an offer, solicitation or inducement to buy, sell or hold any currency, crypto asset, security, derivative or other financial instrument.

No advisory relationship

Reading this site, subscribing to its newsletter, or corresponding with its author does not create an advisory, fiduciary, brokerage or professional relationship of any kind.

The author is not a licensed or registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, or commodity trading advisor in any jurisdiction. He does not manage money for other people and does not accept clients. Any opinion expressed on this site is a personal opinion, and it may be wrong.

Before acting on anything you read here, consult a licensed professional who is authorised in your jurisdiction and who knows your actual circumstances.

Risk warning

Trading foreign exchange, contracts for difference, crypto assets and other leveraged instruments carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose more than your initial deposit with some products and some providers. You should never trade with money you cannot afford to lose entirely.

Regulators that require brokers to publish loss statistics have documented that the majority of retail accounts lose money. Analyses by European national competent authorities cited by ESMA found that between 74% and 89% of retail CFD accounts lost money, with average losses per client ranging from roughly €1,600 to €29,000. Those figures describe the base rate you are trading against.

Leverage is the mechanism that turns ordinary market movement into account-threatening loss. The arithmetic is not complicated, and it is worth seeing plainly.

What a 1% adverse price move costs on a $1,000 account at different leverage levels
Leverage Position size Loss on a 1% move Share of account lost
1:1 $1,000 $10 1%
1:10 $10,000 $100 10%
1:30 $30,000 $300 30%
1:100 $100,000 $1,000 100%

A 1% move is an unremarkable day in most currency pairs and a quiet hour in crypto. At high leverage, an unremarkable day ends the account. This is not an edge case. It is the ordinary way retail accounts are lost.

Crypto assets carry additional risks that do not apply to regulated markets: extreme volatility, thin liquidity outside major pairs, exchange insolvency, custody failure, smart contract defects, network attacks, permanent loss of access through lost keys, and abrupt regulatory intervention. Crypto assets are unregulated or lightly regulated in many jurisdictions, and in most of them you have no compensation scheme and no recourse if a platform fails.

No guarantees and no performance claims

This site makes no promise, warranty or representation of profit, income or investment return. It does not publish “signals,” price targets, entry or exit levels, or any content designed to be traded directly.

Past performance is not indicative of future results. This applies to markets, to strategies, to individual traders and to backtests. Any historical example, case study or scenario appearing on this site is illustrative and selected to explain a concept, not to demonstrate a method that can be repeated.

Where an article contains hypothetical, simulated or backtested figures, understand that such results have inherent limitations. They are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, they do not represent actual trading, and they cannot account for the effect of slippage, spread widening, liquidity gaps, financing costs, execution delays, or the psychological pressure of holding a real position through a real loss.

Accuracy and timeliness

Content is published in good faith and with reasonable care, but it is provided “as is” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Markets, products, regulations, broker terms, fee structures and tax treatment all change. An article that was accurate on the day it was published may be out of date when you read it. Publication and update dates appear on every article for exactly this reason. Verify anything time-sensitive against a current primary source before you act on it.

Errors are corrected when identified rather than quietly removed. If you find one, write to [email protected].

Third-party content and links

This site links to external websites, research, data providers and platforms. Those links are provided for reference and convenience. This site does not control, endorse, verify or take responsibility for third-party content, products, services, privacy practices or security. Following an external link is at your own risk.

Quotations, statistics and historical accounts drawn from external sources are attributed where used. Their accuracy remains the responsibility of the original source.

Affiliate and commercial disclosure

This site may earn affiliate commission from some links. Where that is the case, it is disclosed at the top of the article in question. Affiliate arrangements never determine what is covered, what conclusion an article reaches, or whether something is criticised.

This site does not publish paid guest posts, sponsored articles presented as editorial, or purchased links. It does not accept payment for favourable coverage of any broker, exchange, platform or product.

Author positions

The author trades his own capital and may at any time hold a position in a currency pair, crypto asset or instrument discussed on this site. No position is disclosed on a trade-by-trade basis, because this site does not publish trade ideas and no reader should be following the author’s positions in the first place.

Eligibility and jurisdiction

This site is intended for readers aged 18 or over.

Content is not directed at, and is not intended for distribution to or use by, any person in any jurisdiction where such distribution or use would be contrary to local law or regulation, or would subject the site or its author to any registration requirement in that jurisdiction.

Financial products are regulated differently around the world. Instruments that are legal and widely available in one country may be restricted, unavailable or unlawful in another. Retail access to contracts for difference, leverage limits, and the treatment of crypto assets vary substantially between jurisdictions. You are solely responsible for determining whether any product or activity discussed here is lawful and appropriate where you live.

Tax

Nothing on this site is tax advice. The tax treatment of trading gains, losses, crypto disposals, staking rewards and financing costs depends on your jurisdiction and your individual circumstances, and it changes. Consult a qualified tax professional.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither the operator of this website nor its author shall be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the use of, or reliance on, any content published here. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or exemplary loss, and specifically includes trading losses, loss of profit, loss of data and loss of opportunity, whether or not the possibility of such loss was foreseeable.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
